It's great to be eight!?!

Hayden had the wonderful experience of being baptized by his grandfather, Terry Gosney on December 4th. I am grateful that Hayden made the choice to be baptized, for awhile he had some reservations. A few months ago when we were discussing his choice to be baptized, he asked me, "What are those things that will get washed away?" "Your sins?" I asked. "Ya those... I don't want them to wash away, I want to keep them." After a little more discussion he better understood the purpose and process of baptism, but his comment did make me realize that it is our mistakes that give us opportunity to grow. And sometimes we aren't ready to let go of them until we have completed the learning process and are ready to move forward.
